In the last seven years, the Region of Tourism of the Serra da Estrela recorded the largest-ever qualification of the existing tourist accommodation in the area of RTSE. A note of the body that manages the tourism of the region that has seen highlights, in the period between 1997-2004, not only to a strong growth of the hotel offer, but also to a profound change in the level of this offer. The RTSE highlights even a growth of 96 per cent in the number of beds available in thirteen counties that make up, rising from 2,329 beds classified in July 97 for the 4568 existing counterpart in the month of this year.
